GTA 6 Shiba Inu: Petition To Make SHIB a Legal Currency Fails
Rockstar Games released the much-awaited trailer of GTA 6 on December 5, 2023, 14 hours before the actual launch. A hacker leaked the footage the same day forcing Rockstar Games to release the trailer with immediate effect. However, just to walk down memory lane, a petition was filed on Change.org urging Rockstar Games to consider incorporating Shiba Inu (SHIB) cryptocurrency as an in-game legal currency in GTA 6.

The Change.org petition to make Shiba Inu a legal currency in GTA 6 was filed by Luca Buassi on November 6, 2021. The petition came a week after SHIB hit its all-time high of $0.00008616, on October 30, the same year.
“This petition is designed to kindly request of Rockstar Games to please make Shiba Inu coin the official currency of the next chapter of Grand Theft Auto (GTA 6),” read the petition.

Nonetheless, the petition to make Shiba Inu a legal currency in GTA 6 failed miserably as it received only 30 signatures. The minimum required signatures for the next goal was 50, but the petition received just 30 signatures. It fell short by 20 signatures and only had around 25 supporters. A petition of this size can never reach the table of Rockstar Games as the studio is larger-than-life.
GTA 6: Shiba Inu & Cryptocurrencies
Speculations are rife that Rockstar Games could incorporate in-game cryptocurrencies in the upcoming GTA 6 franchise. Rumors suggest that anonymous billionaires could pay cryptocurrencies through blockchain technology after completing missions.

Unlike the traditional banks, the blockchain tech does not reveal the identity of the sender and receiver. Therefore, the new form of payment method could be promising to anonymous billionaires and other gangs in the game.
GTA 6 is scheduled to be released in 2025 for the Sony PlayStation and Microsoft Xbox X|S series. The PC version could come much later, reports suggest.
